hi! i've had a green spot puffer for over 3 years now, and i've noticed he has been staying in the same spot in the tank lately, as opposed to cruising around like he normally does.

so, upon closer inspection, it looks like he has injured one of his pectoral fins, and also possibly his mouth... he's not moving his one fin, and his mouth looks slightly swollen and a little red. i don't think he's been eating, either, because he looks a little skinny.

i thought maybe his teeth were overgrown, so i checked that, and i think they're okay. so, i set him up in a hospital tank and treated it with a bacterial medicatiom called 'anti-bacteria' by applus+. the active ingredient is formalin, and benzalkonium chloride. is this an okay medication? are puffers considered scaleless, and if so, is this medication harmful?

please let me know what i should do, as i am really attached to 'blimpy'. thanks!
