Wahikki Small Fry Posts: 14 Kudos: 4 Votes: 39 Registered: 09-Jun-2006 | I got a black mystery snail and it rang up on the receipt as a crustacean, but in biology class I've learned that snails are molluscs. i was reading my bottles of aquarium chemicals, and they all said don't use with crustaceans, Regarding fish chemicals, are snails crustaceans or molluscs? |

sham Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3369 Kudos: 2782 Votes: 98 Registered: 21-Apr-2004 | Technically they are gastropods from the mollusca phylum but if it says not to use with crustaceans don't use it with snails. Nearly all fish meds kill snails, shrimp, and other inverts. Remove them from the tank before treating. |
