It's 19 US gallons and my most recent parameters were Ammonia=0, Nitrite=0, Nitrate=0, pH=6.5, Temperature=78F. I recently had some serious problems with my tank which were detailed in another thread here. I ended up losing both the clown loaches. I did a water change of 40% then added a little Stress Zyme and put a 6" square piece of poly filter into the tanks for a week to soak up the remaining treatment and any other miscellaneous chemicals. Then on Sunday I got the water tested and it returned the parameters I gave you earlier. That day I bought 4 Cherry Barbs and they appear to have settled in well. On Monday they began scratching on the substrate occasionally and after being told that they had been treated with Protizin on Saturday night as a precautionary measure I began a treatment of Melafix to help their skin recover (also for my fish who'd survived the earlier disaster). After Melafix treatment number 3 the Barbs have a couple of tiny white spots and I'm fearing another disaster. I have raised the Temp to 80F in preparation for the onslaught. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and special thanks to Cory_Di for her earlier message. |
