Just my $0.02, since you want an asap answer...but depending on how much of the jaw is missing it may not be able to eat and ...well....not able to survive.
In which case a swift blow to the head or cutting the spinal cord if it's a larger angel might be in order.
Not having seen the fish of course I couldnt' judge. Not sure pimafix would be strong enough.
Good luck

What other fish do you have in the tank?
Is there anything sharp this fish could have hit against to injure it so badly?
Can you post a pic of its jaw area for us?
That would help us to decide if it should be euthanized or treated.
If you arent a premium member you can email me a pic and I can post it for you.

I wish I could, my cam busted last week =\

I was gone on a holiday, and when I came back it looks so bad, his/her jaw (bottom) is wasting away she can still eat, early I tought my two angels to eat from my hand in case of sickness, these are my favs....

In the tank there was
2 angels
1 african butterflyfish
1 baby hopolo catfish
8 Corys

My other angel died last week with no apparent signs of anything besides the pectoral fins were a bit nipped, someone sugested nipping after death....so I thought nothing

Now this, about 3 week ago I put in 4 corys that were QT'ed first. Since two of those have died as well...

She/he is a fighter moving otherwise quite well seeing her tail is missing up to her fins, but there is about half of her tal still there....man that sounds dumb....I will try my hardest to get a pic.

Nothing sharp nothing biting......

I am so pissed, I am not sure what to do

Angel Eel

Ill go see if my cam works...

EDIT: Nope cam don't work.....but on closer look of my angel it almost looks like an ancor worm (spelling ) on the side could this cause this????

Oh I also added an apple snail with the corys.

if it is an anchor worm you should try to net the fish, and remove the anchor worm by hand I think.
I would medicate with a strong antibiotic like maracyn/or maracyn 2 (not sure which of the two for this case as I dont know where mine is to look at package)
Pimafix would only work if it is some type of fungal infection. You would be better to dose Mealfix if you have some.
I would isolate the angel, even if its a floating container, net, etc so the other fish dont pick at it.

Sounds like it might be [link=columnaris]http://www.thetropicaltank.co.uk/hdcolumn.htm" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link]. I've never delt with it first hand. The worm description as well as the missing fins seems to fit though.
Not sure what meds are or arent available to the north...I'd reccomend furan2 or jungle labs fungus clear tank buddies...they both have Nitrofurazone, and Fruazolidone which are both pos and neg antibacterials.

Personally not a fan of salt @all, quick google search seems to say it's the old method of treatment. In this case old often means that there are better options out there.

If there are other fish or plants in the tank I'd be cautious of using salt. Hopefully someone that actually subscribes to the salt theory will be able to help out.

GRRR!! Lfs's sometimes!

anyway....from what I read thru a google search yes salt may help. That is if the diagnosis is right to begin with >.<

*remembers that it's one fish two fish not one link two link* Anyway those are a few I found quickly with google. I dont' really agree with the use of melafix as a medication, mainly because I've never seen it work as one. It's good in the healing stages but not really good against something as tough as fin rot or in this case columnaris.

I wouldn't suggest adding to the main tank.

Either dose in a hospital tank or if you wish try a dip.

Again I've done neither so I really cant say...sorry .

I would try medication either Furan or Furan2 , check the package. Or try Maracyn and Maracyn 2 dosed together. I believe they are made to work together so you get both gram positive and negative bacteria.
Can you isolate the angel in a hospital tank?

To give you a good definitive answer we need a bit more cooperation. First of all, we need some more info about your tank. This was copy-pasted from the top of the forum:

ENVIRONMENTAL DATA

Water Parameters
There are many things in a fish tank that can cause a fish to appear sick, when natural toxins or water chemistry are not just right.

Ammonia:
Nitrite (note the “I&#8221:
Nitrate (note the “A):
pH:
Temp:

If you do not have one or more of these, please take a bag of water to the fish store and ask them to test it for you. Most will do this for free. If not, try another store. Make sure you write them down so we can review the numbers with you.

Tank Information

Tank Size (gallons and dimensions if known (20 gal long versus regular 20 or 20 gal high):
Stock List (Quantity/Species):
Fish size for larger fish (a 5 inch angel or a 9 inch oscar has a different effect on water parameters than a half-dollar size angle or a 3 inch oscar).
Filtration (ex: Penguin 330, Whisper 40, Fluval 204, etc).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Additives
Tell us what you add to your tank or replacement water like conditioners to remove chlorine/chloramine, fertilizers for plants, aquarium salt, pH adjusters, etc. Describe for us how often you use and how much.

INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR SICK FISH

Be as descriptive as you can and provide pics, if possible (see the post about how to add pictures at the top of the hospital forum).

We not only need detailed information about what you see ON the fish, we need to know about it’s behavior. This does not attempt to capture everything, but gives you some ideas on how to present what you are seeing. Don’t limit yourself to what is here.

Examples of some physical attributes
Pale, darker, grey fuzz/white fuzz/off-white fuzz, grey slimey film, blue haze, gold dusting, salt grains/spots, blood bordered white area, ulcer, pustule/boil, cloudy eyes, protruding eye, eroding fin, etc.

Examples of some behaviors
Lethargic, rapid breathing, sits on the bottom, hangs out at the top with head down (or head up), darting in a spiral fashion, swimming slowly without orientation, choking, flicking against objects in the tank or gravel

Next, you need to check the links given above to determine if what you're dealing with is ACTUALLY COLUMNARIS. It does sound bacterial to me but I'm not comfortable giving any advice without some more info.

EDIT: Btw, helpers please check Cory Di's sticky at the top of the forum.

you took that much time for me....I did describe it as best as I could.I know and I HAVE read the links and as far as I can tell that is what it is.

I know about the stickies, as for water I am not at home =\

I do have water tests but not in the time I have when I am home I will do one tonight.

I presume the water tests will be fine....what I do know is there was a change in inhabitants so that is my thought on how this happend.
