Hello

I have a sick guppy He's been ill for a few days. I'm wondering whether he might have Swim bladder disease as all he does is hang around the surface with his body hanging down and 45 degrees. His tail is also looking a bit scraggy where I think one of the other fish have been picking on him. I've been debating putting him out of his misery by letting him have a snooze in the freezer but then he'll surprise me by swimming around looking ok. However for the majority of the time he's hanging around the top, looking sorry for himself. I think it's time to do the right thing but wouldn't mind a second opinion.

thanks

Got home from work and guppy is resting on leaves, a little bit of swimming around but mainly resting on leaves. Any ideas?

He is resting on the leaves because he is too exhausted to swim, certainly something is wrong.

Please provide all required parameters that help when attempting to give a prognosis of the issue, but it doesn’t sound like swim bladder to me.

Also, what is his age?
