Hey guys,
I have a large female Synspillum that is having problems with her gills, she's panting heavily. The fish has always panted to a degree, but it's much stronger. I'm totally stumped as to what it can be?

The tank is a new 155gal (3 weeks) and has just gone through the cycle process. All the parameters are currently in order with PH 7.6, Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 10.

All of the other fish are fine, she's the only one that is suffering with this problem.

Thanks

Did the fish go through the cycle, if so it could of took it toll on the fish. 3 weeks is quick for the cycle to have finished.

Yeah the fish did go through the cycle. Though with such a massive tank the ammonia never even had a chance to rise anywhere near a dangerous level. Plus I'd also used all the ornaments, plants and filters as cycling material.
