	Sick clown loaches?
Rob1619 Fish Addict Posts: 763 Kudos: 619 Votes: 626 Registered: 01-Sep-2004	I have three clown loaches and today i noticed that they are having some small white spots on their back and more on their tails....is this white spot? I have had my clowns for a week now,the water is ok and the temprature is 27C. I know human beings and fish can co-exist peacefully.

crazyred Fish Addict LAZY and I don't care :D Posts: 575 Kudos: 360 Votes: 293 Registered: 26-Aug-2005	Sounds like ick to me. Clown loaches are very susceptible to it because they have no scales. You will have to treat them very carefully because they do not tolerate ick treatments well. Any ick treatment that you use, you will only be able to use at half strength. Some people use heat and salt, but I believe they are intolerant of high salt too. Most ick treatments available will work, but you will have to do half doses. I bought a new heater and now it's 2 days and the water is 29C like i want it. The clown loaches are now 100% healthy again,no white spots to see Robby I know human beings and fish can co-exist peacefully.
