It took me 18 straight years of losing fish wholesale to septicemia -- despite every medication I could throw at it, and despite the fact that the water always tested clean -- before I finally realized that they were picking up the bacteria from that source and giving themselves massive food poisoning. When I sharply increased my supply of bottom-feeders to eat all the bottom food BEFORE it had any chance to start decaying, my death rate plummeted. I've since talked to other people who had the same experience. |
