I had in a 65 gallon tank; 7 silver tip tetras, 13 neon tetras, 1 tiny flying fox, 2 panda cories, 2 crimson loaches, 1 bumblebee catfish (asian i believe) and 1 four inch pleco. Now the pleco is dead, and eaten, and I have 3 neons left and haven't found the loaches lately. Whos doing all this damage?? all the fish are babies basically, the silver tip tetras are maybe half max size.

from planet catfish I gather the bumblebee cat is a microglanis iheringi, and is about 1.5 inches long.

loaches can hassel or intimidate other fish to death, but i wouldnt think them to eat the dead species? maybe snails ate it? but is the pleco died it could have been of natural causes and the other fish werent about to waste perfectly good "food."

so dont expect an actual culprit, because it could be hard to determine which fish or malady did the job, but rather be thankful that you didnt have to remove the body...???...

Westcoast - can you please post the water perameters and how long has this tank been set up..... if your fish are dieing off, maybe the nitrate and nitrites are at toxic levels. You really need to post your water reading. than maybe we can give you an ideal. As far as who eating who tetras will eat any thing you put in the tank including dead fish. If you don't have a complete test kit get one, and not the the dip strips they are no good.

My off the top of my brain thought is that this is a new tank and it wasn't cycled yet and if that the case you need to do a WC(water change) now... 20% today and 20% tomorrow and every time you check the levels
