 | betta with peeling scales |
fan fan  Hobbyist Posts: 127 Kudos: 77 Votes: 13 Registered: 24-Mar-2004   | my cousin has a male betta and lately its head has gotten rather white. i assumed it was ich (white spot) so went down to have a look and give them some melafix to help treat. But when i got there i noticed that it was only the fishes head and it seemed as if the gills were a bit puffy and the scales were missing from its head. The fish is lathargic and only occasionally swims to the top for air/food. any ideas (i wondered wether it could have been rubbing itself on the rock in the tank. THX |
