I just bought a pond goldfish from a local pet store, where he was all alone in the tank, and now im starting to notice that on the fin just below his tail its whitish and beggining to shred, he also has a "bite" sort of mark on his tail, and black chunks of color all over, but that may just be his natural coloring, could this be fin rot? I have 2 other fish in the tank, and they seem fine. If it is fin rot, what can I do to treat it? I have a new filter in the tank, too. And now he's not swimming right, and just floating around the tank, sometimes he floats around the top, or he just lays on the bottom..whats wrong? He was fine yesterday..! And the lady at the pet store said nothing was wrong with him when I asked if he was in there alone for a reason. She said he was fine he was just the last to be sold..
