my favorite molly is probably old and is losing color in the base of his tail. the fin part is clear no instead of the bright orange it usually is. he is still very active, vital, and still breads with every female in the tri state area. any sugestions? p.s. i feed him tetra color enhance blend and live foods often.

Could you please post test results in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph, to make sure it isn't water quality first.

How old is it? It may need some food that it just is not getting from flake. You should try frozen foods.

Water tests would indicate whether there has been a decline. This usually results in loss of colour.
