I have him in the quarentine tank right now and he just sits on the bottom behind the sponge filter. Are there other suitable hiding spaces in the quarantine tank? Having a choice of refuge will help the fish to lose its stress more quickly. As long as you took care in acclimating the fish to your water, it should be fine. |

I was thinking more along the lines of rocks or fake coral decorations. I haven't heard of anyone using a floor tile in their fish tank, so I wouldn't recommend trying it here. |

The gramma will pick where it wants to hang out, and might change territories once it settles in a bit. It doesn't sound like you need to add anything to the tank. Just keep an eye on the fish and ensure that it does okay. |
