my peacock eel is acting very oddly. instead of his normal behavior he is now swimming in a spirral and laying upside down. he looks really thin.
he is a 5 inch striped peacock eel and his width is about 2-3 cm, i think he is not eating, should i try live worms intead of freese dried ones.
need help

What are your water parameters and stock list? How long have you had him? Did you ever see him eat?

The spiraling and laying upside down is probably a sign that he's on his way out, and you may not be able to save him. If you figure out what went wrong, however, you can prevent this from happening to your other fish or another eel if you decide to get one.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

Spiralling is often a sign of brain damage or shock. In this case I have a feeling its either a blood parasite damaging the nervous system or possible even some direct toxicity.Sometimes even long term vitamin deficiencies can cause such things, did he eat a varied diet?
