Hi there,

one of my peppered corys has a fairly large blood red patch on one side of its body behind its gills. he dosnt seem to be acting any different, he just has this sort of patch. I usually do a 25% water change on my 57 (us) gallon tank twice a week.

the tanks about 4 months old, but recently i went away for 7 days and it was then, when i got back the patch had appeared. i did an immidiate water change when i noticed this patch the next morning.

A week later and the patch is still here on the poor bliter. Should i be worried and what can i do. Please help.

cheers all

Hey pos little more info on the tank please [link=answer these]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/The%20Hospital/43725.html?200407200128" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link].

Any sharp (or moderatly dull) objects like wood rocks or castles he could have bumped into? Any redecorating in the past few weeks. I've noticed my fish will become used to an aquascape and have a habit of bumping into things if I rearainge.

If you can get your hands on some melafix it wont hurt and may help with any minor infections. Keep up with the water changes as well.
