One of my corys has been sick on and off for months. in the last two days he's returned to a very pale color and is sitting listlessly at the bottom of the tank. he seems weak.

My tank parameters are good(read as follows), but he just seems to be getting worse. His back seems slightly slumped. Aer corys suceptible to neon tetra disease?? How long would he hold out if this was the case..

I think the recent degeneration has been bruogt on by a significant rise in tank temprature due to summer conditions. The tank usually sits at 80f, but during the last two days, it has twice risen to 84f, or slightly more. I slowly replaced the water tonight with some fresh, cool water, and over the course of three hours or so, reduced the temp to 82f. all of the fish in the tank seem to be hanging out near the side of the tank which I have a fan pointad at...I suspect its slightly cooler.

Tommorow I am going to move the tank in to the air conditioned room. I would have done it today, but its going to take three people to safely move the tank...even if its half full, and right now...its just me and my girlfreind.

any helpfull sugestions??

nitrates 5ppm
nitrites 0ppm
ammmonia 0ppm
pH 7.4
hardness 110ppm
temp usualy 80f

I removed the carbon from my tank and treated with melafix and pimafix. I also have on otto recovering from a fairly serios wound, and some of my other cories are exibiting flashing behavior

The only help I can give you is that I've read that Paleatus Corys, in particular, prefer water several degrees cooler than most other Cories.
