If so, he could be constipated. Have you tried feeding him a pea? (Defrost a frozen pea, deshell it and offer him a little piece.) Other than that, all I can say is that I've seen quite a few posts lately that mention bettas fading colors before they eventually die for no apparent reason. I hope your betta will be okay! ~Meow.
