Do her scales stick out like a pine cone?? If so she could have dropsy. If the scales are not sticking out she could also be constipated try feeding her a shelled pea. I'm sure someone who knows a lot more than I do will be along and be able to help more.
HTH a little anyway,
Stella

Sounds like dropsy to me. . . do you have water parameters? it's always good to give NUMBERS for ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate. If you don't have test kits, buy them. Until then you can get your numbers tested at your local fish store. . . get numbers and don't take "fine" as an accurate picture of your water quality.

So how is she doing now? Do your other fish appear normal or have you been noticing anything else out of the ordinary. Bloat can happen for a number of reasons and we'll really need some more info to sort it out.

Unfortunately, once a fish is to the point of floating upside down the chances of recovery are very slim. Good luck with her and get back ASAP.
