Gymnocorymbus...Faded Black Tetra. Hyphessobrycon...Lesser Bleeding Heart. Pseudotropheus...Eduard's Mbuna. If another species has taken a dislike to the "Socolofi", then the fish, in an attempt to escape the danger, will hide and refuse to eat. Watch for a bully. --garyroland. |

Provide, in one corner, some tall and bushy plants, real or fake, for the victim fish to hide in and rest when being chased. Once the bully's line of sight is broken he will break off the chase. Some hobbyists are too quick to dose meds carelessly for minor and sometimes insignificant blemishes on fish. Not a good trait. --garyroland. |

There's not an aggressive fish in the world that wouldn't follow the victim into the clay pots and continue the attack. Your fish is jammed behind the heater to elude attack, a typical action taken by a frightened tropical. If the plants were thick enough to hide the fish that's where he'd be. --garyroland. |

Update on the sick socolofi - i reranged the tank so a corner was coverd in plants both fake and real but unfortently it wasnt enough. the fish is no more. it never really went to the plants it perfered the heater yet i never saw any fish attack it. if any fish came near he quickly showed them where they should go. hate loseing fish. especielly nice looking expensive fish. |
