Your "wee bit" of white spot has to be treated in the host tank which is infected...

Melafix, an anticeptic, has no effect on the ich parasite, not even a wee bit.

A med called "Rid Ich Plus" can be dosed for white spot according to directions...

After a week to ten days, when all spots are gone, new fish can be added after they are acclimated to the host tank.

just some of my unexpert advice...

i had ich and decided to let me fishs immune system fight it (my yoyo loach had it) without any medicines and just a wee bit of salt

well 2 things happened, first hes good now, no clear signs of ich, and second no other fish developed it

so my advice to you is dose some salt, not too much, you dont wanna kill em with salt, and wait it out for a day or two, my guess is if water conditions in your tank are fine and your other fish are strong it'll disappear in 2 days and hopefully wont come back cuz your fishies are just more immune to it now

hey but that worked for me, it aint no guarantee

I may have misread the problem...

"wee bit white spot its about 1" "...

Maybe he's talking about a fungus spot that's one inch in diameter??
