Well if they kick the ball through the middle poles it is 6 points, except if they kick it from a certain distance and then it is 9. I think that is right. And if they kick the ball through the outer poles it is 1 point.

Better, but no mention of 9? I only really worried about learning enough rules so as not to look like a dope. That one wasn't that important, it still required only either a "woohoo" or a "bugger"

I only just saw your post re AFL
Gee where do I start. There is really only one team to support & that's the Port Adelaide Power. Go Power!!!
Ive gotta admit I don't mind the Lions ( any team that regularly beat the victorian teams has to be alright )but I hate the Adelaide Crows ( they get all the media..we're like second cousins)
As for the nine points that was for a goal (ball kicked between the 2 big sticks)from outside the 50 metre arc,but,that was only for the pre-season comp,it's normally 6 points. 1 point if they kick it between the big stick & the little stick or if they hit the big stick.(sounds stupid when you try & explain it!)
There is five minutes time-on(like penalty time)not including ballups & throwins at the end of each quarter & they count up at the end so you don't know when the game will finish( oooh the suspense!)
As for the white sundress, I'm sure that was exceptional,but,you really need a beer & a meat pie with sauce to go with it !

Thanks guys! Exactly how many trucks do they need to bring the rule book to each game!

I think I might have to stick to just randomly yelling out yes yes yes NOOOOOOOOOOooooooooo all the time even if it has nothing to do with the game, or if I'm even cheering on the right side!

I gotta admit the random clock change really threw me for a loop....and much more of this game watching business and adams' going to throw me out .
