This is a predator that reaches 5 feet in length. A large one can amputate your arm at the elbow. His 3 inch baby is going to grow up to be a fish that needs a fork lift truck to lift it out of the aquarium ... What's the betting someone thinks it's a good idea to drop this in a 29 with Neons and Guppies? Then wonders where all the Neons and Guppies went? |

I'll just wait till enough people start breeding them that their price comes down (and like most small Cyprinids, they probably are not difficult to breed). EDIT: And is it just me, or do these guys look more closely related to Danios than Rasboras? I'd feel more comfortable calling them "Microdanio". I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

Barboides gracilis is something I would add to my list of likeble tiny fishes. By comparion with this fish, the diminutive Puntius gelius, which was one of the previous candidates for a dwarf barb on my list, is a giant ... However, having seen Microrasbora sp. 'Galaxy', my reaction is, quite simply ... * wants * Oh, almost forgot ... here's another photo of that huge African Tigerfish for you to gaze at ... take a look at those teeth ...
