	BBQ sauce recipe?

Around my area the recipes are often a very guarded family secret(and my family does not have a good recipe). If you do not wish to divulge an ancient family recipe, a few pointers are always welcome. Also, it would be very interesting to hear international versions for the sauce. superlion Mega Fish Posts: 1246 Kudos: 673 Votes: 339 Registered: 27-Sep-2003	Well, I have no developed recipe, but what I would do is find something sweet like honey or some kind of jam as a base, then add spices that smell like they should be in BBQ sauce until it tastes good I do most of my non-baking cooking by smell... ><>

The one I make myself for slow-cooked ribs is Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, brown sugar, spices, and about 5 other things that I can't remember.
