The pair of jills have been together since being very young and are both raising seven kits. Tonks (the mum) was handreared and not really the best mum, she fully believes she is a person and had the babies right out in the open. The other jill is doing most of the work, but they are both feeding them. Here are some photos of 8 hour old ferret kits. The dad is Patrick the Angoran ferret (see other posts). James |

Mez Ultimate Fish Guru Asian Hardfeather Enthusiast Posts: 3300 Votes: 162 Registered: 23-Feb-2001 | well, somehow (im thinking as patrick is the dad) they have hair already...like, they were born with fine white hair instead of just being pinks...they'll start to open their eyes at 3 weeks and will develop hair from there. It's really odd to find my two jills like this, they are both very loyal to me and happily let me stroke them - their kits are right at the front of the cage, and i often get groomed. It's fun to see the mum pull the other ferret back to the den just like a baby! James |
