I'm going to try to go to a dinner with Bernard Rollins, famous veterinary ethicist, tonight. Anybody have good questions to pick his brain with? (He's coming to meet animal science students at my university)

Now I'm sad. I went and the prof and everyone else I would recognize from the class were nowhere to be found So I didn't get to meet a famous ethicist.

Well this morning the professor announced this was going to happen, time, location, showed us an article about Bernard Rollins (had heard about him in my environmental ethics class last semester too). Of course the dining hall (on campus) where we were supposed to go has a pretty convoluted layout. I saw one of the TAs there on the way in, so I figured I was doing pretty well. So I went in and didn't see anyone so I just sat down in the side room where I *thought* he had directed us. Ate my dinner and nobody I recognized (including the TA I saw earlier) appeared. So I looked all over the building and I couldn't find them. So then I gave up and went home.

I should have asked the TA (I suppose they could have changed it), but I only saw her briefly and I didn't think at that point I would have a problem. And I doubt the people working in the dining hall would know what I was talking about if I asked... (not to mention they would have no clue if it was moved somewhere else)
