It's 6am saturday morning.. it's minus 20 degrees F outside... it's dark... my cat is curled up on the couch sleeping... mom is curled up sleeping in her bed... it's quiet outside... and here i am, getting up for work... I'd like to just spend the day sleeping in a warm, cozy, comfortable bed

I think the worst is when you have to get up, and you take the covers off and the first blast of cool air hits you and makes you shiver as you get up... and just 5 seconds ago you were the happiest person in the world lying under the covers in your nice little warm pocket of air... *sigh*

Try having to get up to go to work when everyone else is going clubbing...or curled up watching a movie or snuggled in bed reading a good book.

Of course it wouldnt be so cold if you wore more to bed .

I always hate having to wake up early on cold winter days. I'll prefer to sleep in my cozy bed all day

Tim, I was up at 5:30, had to go out and start the car, it is 11 years old and it is -20 outside so needless to say it didn't want to start. Get ready and freeze my butt off scraping the car. Course I have been doing that every winter for the last 25 years. Welcome to the working class

I'm with Shannen on this oneI love living in Texas, the weather I don't think has ever gotten to -20...I remember it hitting 6 once and we almost froze to death. I think we are in the 40s or 50s today, or maybe its 60s, don't know, don't care, staying inside under a blanket...Heidi

Maybe it will make you feel better- that if you think about all of the homeless people who dont have a cozy bed to curl up in every night and have to stay out in that freezing cold weather, be thankful you have a warm house and a warm bed to sleep in everynight

I used to love getting up early in the morning! Ok it doesn't get anywhere near as cold here as it does there - but think of the air as 'brisk' rather than cold.

Living in the city, I enjoy going out on a cold winter morning, especially a weekend morning, around 5am when there's nobody else there. The streets are quiet and deserted and I feel like I have the whole place to myself.

And the BEST part is when you snap awake at 5am and brace yourself get out of bed... then you remember it's your day off and you sink back down into your warm pocket of air and truly appreciate it.
