I used to use a ebonite nitro and just an ebonite. And I carried high 180 average back then. Last fall, I added a ebonite turbo-x. This past winter, I joined a short season just for more practice. Carried 160s for the season. I no longer have these balls. But I got a Hammer No Mercy back in April. and then over this summer, I got a brand new to the market, Hammer Pearlized Black Widow. And theres my spare ball, a Brunswick TZone, its just hard plastic, no hook.. I give mad props to the new Widow, it has a nice hard back end. I'm going to try to take my digital this week and record my throw. So now I have the Black widow for my strike ball. I use my No Mercy for pickups, basicly anything except the head pin hits and 10 pin. I have more accuracy with spares over the Widow. And because of the hook on the widow, I have the plastic ball for those stupid 10 pins Oh, and I got the widow, spare ball, and a bunch of other equipment for free, as I designed and maintane the proshops web site Now I'm on a full season sanctioned mixed league, doing ok so far, still getting back in the grove of things.. But to answer yours rob.... 279.. Would have been a 300, but my moms distracted me and threw off my focus after my 6th fr But with how i'm doing so far since being back and getting in my grove.... should do great this season Fish tanks are an expensive addiction |

I used to bowl over 200 average and once had 8 strikes in a row but didn't get to finish that game. Then I got pitched off a horse, landed with my right arm extended to protect my head, and can't throw more than a 9lb ball without my wrist collasping sideways. 8lbs if I want to play more than 1 game without pain. 8lb balls bounce off the pins. Now I pick up most of my pins on spares since I can still throw with plenty of accuracy but I can't apply much speed or force to the ball. Still managed a score of around 150 and 3 strikes with it last time though. |

I like playing for real, but I always get sore because none of the house balls fit my hand the way it should. If I were more serious I'd get one sized. |

I've learned alot about this stuff as lately i've been doing alot of pc work and website work for a local proshop Fish tanks are an expensive addiction |
