yea, ive been meaning to e-mail him asking him if he dident mind i used some articals, but im going to have a thanks page in the back, thanking all contributers, or adam will see this post and save me some time but on the front page i am goint to put in fine pring that he owns the website and such

Might wanna try and include this or something similar

guys i need more articals
only got one so far, and i have space for many more

i still need an artical on how to completly rid your tank from ick and a fish compatibility artical and the chat convo and i guess thats it for now

ok, i have the table of contents set up like the fourm page only i took out the hyperlinks (so annoying) and i got ur message gomer, good stuff, but i am going to replace the names of the forums with the titles of the pages (im so smart) soon i will start to post out the results

As Babel mentioned, I did something like this myself last year, as part of my Honours thesis in editing. It was probably more general and less related to the site than what you are describing.

I could probably email you PDF's of a few of the pages (not all of them, there are 48 so that would take quite a while!) if you wanted to have a look at what I did. I'm not sure to what level your magazine is supposed to represent a publishable product, mine was laid out with an industry-standard program and professionally printed and bound. But I certainly wouldn't expect that you are required to do that if it is a high school class!

Anyway, I have a lot of experience in magazines, I am co-owner of a magazine publishing company and have worked in the field for several years as well. So if there's anything I can help you with, I'm more than happy to do so .

I have some disease articles I wrote (for another site ) that you can use if you want. I talked about velvet, ich, mouth rot, and fin rot.

One thing I think your magazine should have is one of those humorous and usually completely unnecessary final columns. Call it "The Anal Fin" or something like that.

I could give you an article i wrote ages back on Ammonia and stuff. It isn't that long, and i think is easy to read. *shrugs*

for a class, we all had to do a mag of some sort, i chose to create a fishprofiles mag and now i need your help!!
i am going to make it like the site, except, i dont have enough time to do a 4oo somthing page this on all of the species profiles, i have other articals i have to do, i will post a pic of the cover oage i have so far later on

Provided Adam doesn't object to you borrowing the material, you could use my Panda or Otocinclus articles as examples of some of the 'out of forum' material ...

we each get to do our own im trying to load the cover to photobucket as i speak, and on the cover for the "top stories" and such i was thinking about.....oh wait...GRRR it wont load anyone have an idea on how i can put it on from word ? but anyway i have "fish disease of the week, profile of the week,an artical of fish compatibility, the latest chat covo and i going to put in other things like quizzes, but i want any and all of your ideas i could take pics of it, i will see if i can do that it has to be atleast 5 pages long, but i would like it to be long, and good

So what would you like? Our nonsense, and babbling from chat Some of the crazy polls we've done? Favorite fish? Maybe a poll saying what kind of fish do you keep? How about a story on why we started keeping fish? This could be loads of fun!!! Check in with JB... she actually published hers....lucky on getting to do a fish mag...I got outnumbered in my mag pub course ...we had to do a take off on something like mens health...worst thing is me and the one other guy that didnt want to do that idea ended up doing all the work on it .
