We have it lucky here in San Diego-no big hills, lots of vegetation to trap the silt, etc. There's still a hell of a lot of rain, though.

Well, it's pretty much over... For now.

This area on the side of the freeway on my way to school has been under three feet of water for the past four days during high tide - and there's houses there too!

Good thing I live on a hill. I wasn't affected too much but the rain made our lawn all mushy...

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

It wasn't all that bad here. It was REALLY windy and it poured this morning, but nothing serious. I think we'll all be fine. Thanks for checking up on us Californians though.

They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes,
They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver,
So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.

I think they described it as a minor event in my area (SF). Most of the people affected were those on the bottom of hills and such. How many lost their lives??
