Does anyone know the American version of the Cadbury "Crunchie"? It's Milk Chocolate with a Honeycomb center. I got them when I was in Ireland and can't seem to find something similar here. Although - I know there is something close and I can't think of what it is.

I am sure that I can order them online but, I was hoping someone knew what I was talking about.

Do you have any grocery stores that carry lots of foreign foods? Or even like a Cost Plus? Pretty much all of the grocery stores around here (except the big chains like Safeway) carry Crunchie, Flake, and all that.

rjmcbean - where are you located?

there's a store here that sells them. but yeah, in the foreign foods area (under the british section generally) is where you'd find them.

I bet I could find them just down the road at Whole Foods, I found vegemite there Robyn want me to go and check tomorrow when I get totally bored? Hugs, Heidi

Or until then I'm willing to share some of my chocolate another teacher and I really need to find a chocoholics anonymous...we've gotten bad and just keep dragging the other deeper into the darkness....can't say which of those has been my favorite but some are as good if not better than *cough* walking the dog and bowling *cough*

yes the Nestle Violet Crumble Bar is what your looking for, but i know for sure your not going to find in any grocery store in the states. you'll have better luck in a specialty candy shop or a dallas posted, an online shop. i know this, as i am a candy nut and am always looking for hard to find items.

if anybodys into peanuts or salted nuts of any kind.. check these guys out. great prices. http://www.nutsonthenet.com/

and also houston.. you want good chocolate? get some of these http://www.hersheys.com/cacaoreserve/main.aspx. not cheap but GOOOD

update... also rjmcbean.. here you go. US based company that sells them by the box

A friend and his wife go home to Ireland every couple of months (I think they may be going soon too). I could ask them to pick up a bunch of them for you.

I have looked at around here (Albany, NY) and have not been able to find anything.

I was hoping to find them a different way than ordering them in bulk over the internet.

Doedogg. . If you think of it, I will send you money. But, please don't go out of your way. I am sure I will survive. (For a little while at least. haha.)

Butler's homemade chocolate is also my favorite over there but I would have to get that in Bulk as well.

Good thing I have a birthday coming up soon. haha

Mmmm, Crunchie bars... When I worked in London those were my FAVORITES!

Three three hardest thing to deal with when I came back to the States:

1.) no Penguins with tea or milk

2.) no crunchies

3.) no cream eggs on demand in the subway

I gained quite a bit of weight over there...

Back in the saddle!

man I feel like ive gained a few pounds just by reading this thread!

While youre out searching for crunchie bars ask for crunchie icecream bars. Holy cow those things are food of the gods. I could eat them by the bucket load but thanks to common sense and self control I dont.

Thanks for all the help guys! I definately have a few options, which would be cheaper than flying back to Ireland. haha Although anyone interested in sending me a few chocolate bars, I will be more than happy to PM my mailing address.

I am now Officially "Crunchie"-less. *deep inhale, holding... holding....*
