Calla, Sin, y'all aren't missing anything. Candy corn tastes just a little bit better than dog droppings. Just a little bit though.

Babel, you said it...now I can give our buddies down under a description...

Take a container of vanilla frosting, make compact shapes and let dry out some, then chomp down...and there you go candy corn...

Babel, does that sound about right?

OK buddies down under, send me an address, and we will ship some candy corn...but if you become addicted, don't blame me!!!

hmlaird similar, but the good kind is made with honey, I think a package should be sent....don't know if we'd get in trouble for distributing an addictive substance .

Chocolate ones are good, call me a pureist but I like the regular ones the best....I also like it when dog's don't bark but that's another story entirely.

PM me if you want some maybe I can send a few to one person and they can distribute from there.....

I don't hate them - but I can't eat more than a couple at a sitting. They're like pure sugar! In fact, they're more sugary than sugar, and with a sweeter consistency, not that consistencies can be sweet except that this one is. Everything about them is toooooooooooooooo sweet.

In the general Halloween theme, Corn Syrup can also be used to make fake blood...

- 16 oz White Corn Syrup (Karo)
- 1 oz Water
- 1 oz Red food coloring ("Pillar Box Red" is the best from memory, add gradually to final mix until a "realistic" color is obtained, may need more or less than indicated)

(A drop or two of either blue or yellow can make the color more realistic (best not to mix both though, experiment with two separate concoctions instead))

***WARNING - this WILL stain, so careful where you use it***

Comes in handy when making low-grade horror films or for when setting up a Halloween display though

Well there is corn syrup... and they look like kernels of sweetcorn... well, sort of.

They taste good though! (IMHO)

"Vote: Good God, candy corn is nasty!

It has the taste and the consistency of dried toothpaste."

I will have to second that, I even look at them and it makes me sick.
