I'm with LM - but I guess that I tend to ignore things like that. Hope you stick around, I may not do the chat thing often, or get into any of the debates, but you seem to know your stuff and your manners. Maybe try to set an example for some and and keep the place bright for all the rest who aren't .

Honestly, it is true of some members around here that for some reason have nothing better to do. And to those who are basically saying for her to just get over it, you need to be more compassionate. Instead of ignoring the problem, try to fix it. It is impossible for her to name the person(s) that are getting her so upset, because this thread would be closed and the person(s) offended. All she can do is hope that the guilty party/parties read this thread and take it to heart.

I'm really sad to hear that some of the pettiness has worn you down. But I also agree with Mike - don't let the silly behaviour ruin your day. When you feel it getting to you, use this smiley as often as you think necessary, then go and have a nice cup of tea. (It works for me)

I guess all the statements in the world and all the don’t leave comments won’t matter at all, because it will all come down to what you think about the situation at F.P.
I am probably not as strong in my mind set, as whetu, other great members of F.P So I took my anger, at the situation here and went home for a while.
It worked for me, am I still fed-up with the nonsense that goes on here time to time, yes, will I continue to support FP, yes because in the long run It is worth the effort that a most of the people contribute to make the site both a learning experience, and for the most part, a good place to visit.
Take some time for yourself Stormy, and make your decision when not upset.
And yes FP is addictive, I still come back And I felt just the same way you do now, if not worse.
All this is only my opinion, as cynical as it sounds.

Everywhere you go, you will run into people who you are immature. They are an unfortunate part of life, and part of life is just dealing with or ignoring them. It would be great if you could deal with or ignore the people that bother you, Stormy, because you are an appreciated member of this site.

Don't worry LittleMousling, I haven't really seen that much of that kind of behavior either. Perhaps it's something restricted to the chat (which everyone knows I don't visit much... :%)), but really IMO you shouldn't let what someone says get to you that bad. I mean, one shouldn't get too into the site that you actually reach a point where you have to "quit" it.

Heh... I actually thought this site had been improving in the past few weeks. But I agree, there are several "n00bs" (that term referring to not only the annoying new people, but also some not-so-new people that are very annoying as well) who make up the less enjoyable part of the forum that is FishProfiles...
