..and not of the biscuit kind!!

I have a new pc, and now cannot get into my Yahoo mail account with it.

It won't let me sign in and keeps saying 'my browser is refusing cookies' - even though I have tried swithing the Privacy setting to Accept all Cookies, and put Yahoo.com onto the Always Allow list of website cookies access. Even restarting the pc after doing these things and trying again - it still won't let me in. (I'm just about to clear all cookies and temp. pages, do the above and then re-start - but am not hopeful for its success, so I will still post this thread first!)

Can anybody please help me out? Where am I going wrong? Its Windows XP.

x

What am I doing wrong after all the above

well, first i would suggest clearing out your cookies and temp folder if you haven't already. then you should run adaware and spybot to make sure you don't have something evil lurking on your system. then shut down (yes shut down), wait a few seconds, and turn back on. if this doesn't work, switch to mozilla firefox

Any solution yet ? My yahoo and hotmail were accessible at one point, then my Trend PC-Cillin interfered with it. I could no longer click on and open messages. Un-installed trend and now use free "AntiVir". All fixed. Try un-installing the program (create a restore point first) and see if that fixes it.
DaFish.

No, no success yet - I've given up - I had tried all that Moondog suggested, and also tried exiting the McAffee software and trying again - no joy

Try un-installing McAfee entirely. Then test your e-mail.
Another thought is spyware.. Spybot is the perfect program for that and it's free.
