Crabs on the beach | |

Or FW. eh, they can live here These are from one of the 'beaches' where we went collecting. The sheer number of crabs is amazing, but when you spot how many different species there are too, wow! |

Apparently they are 'doctors' that live in the fish's throat. They are quick, and you know how normally a crab will hit water and change speed and movement? these guys moved through water as if it didn't exist. They just ran at the same speed right on through, it was incredible!! |

Callatya, the last little guy is an isopod, closely related to your wood louse/pillbug/roly-poly (don't you love common names?). And they were incredibly fast, you should see all the shots of bare sand I ended up with. "Shhh! There's on..oh, its gone again" Still, at least I got some pics of them! |
