OK, any suggestions for accessorising?

Also need a 1" cowbell, a fan for the back, and a grill that can have an udder motif at the front (backlit)

Yes, we have Milka in the US (and it is quite good).

Well, maybe they don't have it in Redneck Country where Tim lives...

was waiting for the rear fan to see if i needed extra vents first. Pleased to report that all air is being sucked through the base at the front, not the side vents (which are useless imo) so I can happily cover them in fur

EDIT: sorry, should have been more clear ITS NOT FINISHED YET!

A half-furred case? in my house? nooo! it must be completely fluffy!

of course

An exhaust fan that matches the intake fan in the bottom is always a good idea, to create a good cross flow for ventilation. Mount the exhaust fan as high as you can.

done it even has blue LEDs that match the new power supply

not enough blue glow, needs more. have to make holes bigger

Considering some sort of temp monitor for 3.5 drivebay, or perhaps in the larger ones, but unsure.

would beige or black look better with the cowhide?

Watch out for static electricity with the fake fur. Very easy to static up without realising whilst removing side panel, then discharge into mobo or other components whilst fiddling around inside. I know someone who zapped their puter after doing that mod.

Well worth having a temp monitor if you have covered vents. it's something I'd like for my machine as I worry that the water in the side panel insulates too much and keeps temps a little on the high side.

You can pick up an anti-static wristband for a few dollars at a local computer store/electronics store/radio shack/amazon.com/zipzoomfly.com/newegg.com. They affix to your wrist, and you just hook the little alligator clip to a bare metal surface to ground you so you don't zap your components. Good investment, and a peace of mind. I have a little one i use for working in my machine. The cords could usually be longer with these things, but generally they're acceptable.

Do you have hardware temperature/voltage monitoring now? If not, you could pick up a freeware program (such as SpeedFan) to monitor temps. This program works with pretty much anything that has hardware monitoring built in. This proggie (<~~ look, i talk like you!!) gives temps, fan speeds and voltages. Very useful if you overclock or like to tinker. It's also good for troubleshooting if you suspect something is overheating or not receiving the correct voltage.

Monitoring ambient temperature inside the case itself is a good idea, but you don't have to have major equipment to do it. Just snake a standard thermometer in there, or a little remote dual zone temp doohickey or something. Improving airflow and induction of fresh, cool air into your case is cruicial in cooling the rest of the system. You can't cool components with warm air Or, you could just go all out and get a VapoChill or something

Or an oil pc, olive oil, and reduced carb pasta

Yeah, may get a larger fan at some point, but it has an 80 at the bottom front and an 80 at the top rear, and a heatsink the size of a small nation, so it can't be too bad.

I'll d/l that proggie later

and for making fun of me!

I'll be honest, i dont know anyone who bothers. As most of my friends have to fiddle around inside their PC's about once a day at least to sort stuff out, the wristband gets annoying (and as for me, I'm doign OK if I can find the screwdriver, let alone a wristband, or even my components!!)

I just anti-static by touching a radiator or similar every so often when working on my PC. You just need to remember to do it every time after taking the furry panel off, cos you will static up from rubbing the fur.

Oh - and watch out for the fur getting dusty and the dust getting sucked in through the intake fans. That fake fur is really bad for dust, cos of the static, so if it's going in a dusty place, take the side panel off, outside and brush the dust off. You might wanna consider a dustguard if you're fitting any large fans to it.

EDit - I've never had much joy with those monitoring progs. They never seem to be accurate enough for my liking. Don't rely on it's readings, check it in the BIOS.
