im not sure if any of u get to see aussie tv

v8 supercars (race between holdens and fords) is the race that divides our country.

the main race is bathurst over 100 laps (i b thinken 161)
and this is not a nas-car track it's a bloody long drive.

any way to cut a long story short ford have not one this race for 6 years.

holden dominate alllllllllllllllllllll.

oh yea, i got it running.

I finally got around to doing something to it after i got cooled off. The solenoid is a bit toasty, but i managed to just wiggle it just right, and it works now...

Well, my mom's car needed to go to the shop for a few days, and so she was stuck with my car when she couldn't drive my brother's truck. So she was driving my sister to school in the morning, and we live on a steep hill.

While she was driving down, the car died on her. She had no control over the steering and the brakes. Luckily for her, she was not going fast and the car stopped right after it went off the road. Talk about a frightening experience...

After that, she finally realized what an unsafe piece of crap it was. Before that, I don't think she ever believed me when I told her that it broke down when I was driving it.

So yesterday I got a new car, a 2002 Toyota Camry with only 18,000 miles on it. It drives great, and I like it much better than the Taurus.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

You have control over steering and brakes when the car dies, you just have to do it manually and it's a big tougher

Congrats on the newer car I'm lookin' at an 05 cobalt brand new pretty soon, probably by the end of the summer

My last 3 cars have all been Fords and I love 'em

You see Rusty, that is just because you haven't experienced the majesty of the Holden.

Not that i like holden or ford better than each other.

Growing up I never owned a car, always drove one of my parent's cars. Then I got married but my ex owned our vehicles

When I left him I bought my first car, a 93 two door Tempo with 5000 miles on it. That was in 2000.

That car is my baby It did many, many Michigan-to-Canada-600 mile trips and finally moved there with me. Almost three years ago it came with me from Ontario to Maryland, and still occasionally does the 1000 mile round trip to Michigan. Not quite five years since I purchased it I put on 150,000 miles

The body is still in good shape, it's had routine work done on it for a car that age, the power locks no longer work but the AC does! I even named one of my bettas Tempo because he was the same color as my car

Tempo the fish:

Thats why GM stole them, and will be ending Australian production and making them in the United States. At least the Monaro, I dont know about the other name plates.

You know what I hate about Dodges? If you get stuck in one you better start walking, because you're so far back in the boonies you aren't going to see anyone else. Gimme a Chevy any day, get stuck in a Chevy and anyone can pull you out.

My mom had a brand new Ford Taurus... in the first five years we brought it right the heck back to the dealer for repairs at least five times. It DID last ten years (but then, she doesn't GO anywhere besides a few miles to work and back), but those last few years were painful.

I am thusfar delighted with the Oldsmobile... drat them for killing off the brand. I've had both a 1990 Cutlass Calais and a '94 Cutlass Supreme, and both of them were great cars.

The Calais was my first car and ran like a dream, with a bazillion miles to the gallon. (Okay, a bit of an exagerration, but still, got great mileage.) It DID go through three alternators in the six or so years I drove it, but besides that, was a great little car.

My Supreme is ten years old and runs beautifully. Of course, we bought it cheap, with a blown engine that we replaced, so the engine doesn't exactly have the 158,000 miles the odometer claims. However, the engine we installed wasn't new, either, so it's got a fair amount of miles on it, anyway.

About the only good thing that ever came out of Ford is the old Mustangs... Rowr... I want!

I have to second the love of Dodge Chrysler products... our currents vehicles are a 1998 Dodge Durango (mine) and a 2001 Dodge Ram. Past vehicles have been a Chrysler New Yorker, Chrysler LeBaron, and Dodge Dakota. Mom and Dad drive Chrysler Mini-Van and Dodge Dakota, respectively. So, the whole family is satisfied with them. Of course our current ones don't have that many miles on them b/c they're newer but they seem to last longer than most domestics. Just my 2c worth.
