So I was just wondering how many sites besides this one are people a memeber of. Or is this the only site most people use. I personally am a member on one other site but there are about 5 or 6 sites in total, aside from the 2, that i venture to frequently. I probably spend way too much time thinking about my fish & always planning the next tank

I used to have a fish forum of my own, but I've found FP to be pretty sufficient for my fishy needs

I am a member (or admin in one case) 6 forums total, but this is the only fish one.

I'm on fp, reefcentral (my reef club is based there, so that's kinda a given), and 2 computer/overclocking forums.

I'm registered to a lot of other forums, but these are the only 4 that I go to daily...

I am registered to a lot of sites but only frequent a few. Waterwolves, aquatic predators, piranha-fury, monster fish keepers, and fishgeeks.

I'm registered and several other forums, but this is the only site that I visit daily. The others I might look at once or twice a month at most. This is the only site that I post on.

I visit other places for information on an 'as needed ' basis (places familiar to everyone here such as PlanetCaftish and the Cichlid Room), but FishProfiles is the only place I visit frequently with the intention of posting. It's about the only fish site I have an active membership of (as opposed to odd registrations here and there that have lapsed and were only filled in because of a pressing temporary need). It's safe to say that I probably post more words here in one day than I have in all the other places put together in five years ...

I'm a big fish nerd because I post regulary here, at Aquarium Advice, and I am a moderator at Aquarium Pros.

I need a 12-step program for fish addicts. LOL

I'm a member at reefcentral, and nano-reef.com for my SW needs because this site lacks SW traffic, though I really only read, not much posting. If we had a good SW community here I probably woudn't visit those sites at all. And I belong to aquaticplantcentral and theplantedtank, for plant needs, but I hardly visit those sites as our planted tank section has started doing well.

The real reasons that I'm an active poster at so many sites is because:

a) I'm constantly bored at work and have the time
b) You would be amazed at how many good ideas there are out there and how each forum is unique with their membership
c) I just enjoy hanging around with fish people all over the place

I like each forum for different reasons. I come here for the international perspective (more members NOT in America) and because this site has a large collection of VERY smart people. Y'all are awesome.

Ditto crazyred. Overall I'm glad to see I'm not the only overly fish obsessed luny, who is constantly looking and reading about fish he wish he could keep.

Only thing stopping me from having a fish room like Pam Chin on The Cichlid Room Forum's Ask Pam section is money. If I won the Lottery tomorrow, first step after buying a house to live in would be to buy the house next door Ad Konings style and fill it with aquaria.

With a couple of million in the bank, I'd be able to afford a massive marine aquarium in the basement, for example. 20,000 gallons here I come!
