This website will, when complete, offer something truly amazing - whole body MRI scans of live fish that can be used to determine the distribution of soft tissues within the fish non-invasively. The project has started, and one can already browse some of the fishes present in the database by order or by family.

Once it's finished, there will be two million MRI scans available online covering just about every fish species known.

What else can I say but ... WOW ...

Hey, if you got an extra MRI laying around, why not?

I got two in my closet.

Most well-stocked zoos have an mri machine as well...should those be relegated to sickly people as well (and not the animals?), even though the stated organizations paid for it? In fact, most zoological research facilities either make arrangements with local zoos for mri testing, or they do it in a specialty radiology lab. At least that's how it went for us.

That's like implying that's it's a farmer's duty to donate all his stores of lufenuron to helminth infested patients that can't afford treatment.
