Youch! 6 years???

No, never had braces. Probably wouldn't consider it myself, even if I am a dentist, and braces are the newest fashion accessory in my area! Luckily every tooth has come up vertically, and all 4 wizzies have fitted in just fine.

FYI, wizzies don't cause crowding of teeth. They're not spring-loaded! Crowding can happen even if you don't develop wizzies (by that I mean when you don't have a wisdom tooth in that area, not just cos it's stuck underneath), or have had the wizzie removed. That's cos your jaw continues growing forward long after you stop growing upwards! This causes all your teeth to continue shifting forward slightly until your jaw stops growing forward.

Before some of them....on the other hand, I may have just teased you in high-school.

Ive never worn braces and im sure i never will need to.
My top and bottom teeth align perfectly and i mean they're so spot on that they sometimes bump on each other and they gets quite sore, mainly because i have really sensitive gums.

I don't really need them - my teeth could be more perfect I suppose, but they're definitely not bad, although I do have a major overbite. My family could never have afforded them anyway. I haven't had much dental work at all - certainly I don't get check-ups as often as I should . The most I've ever had done was have a tooth pulled because it was broken and a nerve was exposed - ouch. Luckily it was towards the back, so the gap can't be seen. Apparently I am a bit of a dental freak though, I have an adult tooth down in my jaw. I can feel it through my skin. When I had that other tooth pulled, the dentist took xrays and saw my freak tooth in them, then went around showing all the other dentists in the surgery.

My BF had braces through high school, and though it probably hurt his confidence then, he has beautiful teeth now. So I'm kinda jealous! Though he has wisdom teeth coming through now and he'll probably have to get them removed so they don't ruin the orthodontal work and push his teeth out of place.

I wore them back when there were no other options than regular, silver braces and I had them on for almost four years My eye teeth were fangs, I had four impacted wisdom teeth that had to be surgically removed, and I had a number of other teeth pulled as well.

Unfortunately my kids seem to have inherited my teeth. Oldest son (almost 12) has had braces for a year, oldest daughter will be getting her's in the next year or so.

i used to wear braces

At the time I thought they were the worst torture devices ever invented. Now I'm incredibly glad I had them. My teeth aren't perfectly straight but I'm glad of that... and they're a million times better than they were pre-braces.

Sorry about the hair in this pic

born with a small jaw and all 4 wisdom teeth

Same here, but I got all four wisdoms yanked out when they started to surface in my teens before they could put anything crooked.
