You can search by zip code to see if there is something close to you, etc. . Regretfully, I did not look to see how or if it works outside the US. Local chapters of the red cross, elder care homes, and food banks as well. I would suggest womens shelters but many times they can't accept help from men for the safty of those their protecting. And like moondog mentioned the fuzzy animal society. Another thought might be local schools Some might have 'beautification' programs running or rebuilding over the summer. Best of luck, sounds like you might have a very productive summer . ^_^ |

monkeyboy Fish Addict Posts: 521 Kudos: 375 Votes: 223 Registered: 10-Apr-2005 | well we did up till last summer ( i think), but the city of detroit thought that it was to pricy to keep one open and decided that over priced corrupt politicans was more importatnt, but thats a whole other tread lol. heck, we even came close to losing our zoo. my own aquarium... sounds like an idea, well if i had the fundage, that would be cool. well we have a bass proshop outdoor world that has a 5000g tank (i think), but its all natural fish, like perch and catfish and stuff. but i'm mostly looking for some kind of volunteer construction or demolition. i know habitat does it, but their schedule doesnt say where they are working and with my work schedule, and driving distances, i'm limited on how far i'm driving this year Fish tanks are an expensive addiction |
