ok, I have killed my hotmail account again (100% full )

My aol account is a pain because it erases old messages and read messages, and has to go through no less than 2 steps to get the option to check the mail.

I have a fp one, but I need to keep it for site based issues

And I really try to keep my work account for well work

So any suggestions for good email providers out there (free or paid). I have cox for my internet access, but never could get their system figured out (they came out and charged me three times and still never got the email right, so I just use their cable modem and call it good).

I need:

1. Ability to send/receive very large files and multiple file attachments.

2. Large storage space for inbox. Lets face it, I have issues with the delete button.

3. Saved sent messages.

4. Ability to go through the mailbox (page numbered) and not have 600 messages try to appear on one huge scroll list at once. Not looking to crash my computer...

5. Hopefully spam filter and ability to block senders

6. Optional virus scan would be nice for incoming mail.

Now that I look at the list, am I looking for too much?

No your not. Yahoo has a mail base that you pay for that will give you all of what you ask for, With yahoo if you don't want all of your messages in the in box to pop up every time you check email, send sent messages to their appropriate folder after you have read them.

I have used the free version of yahoo for just about as long as I have know of the Net. It has served me well.

have you checked into gmail? you get 1GB of storage, the ability to archive messages and lots of other stuff. haven't checked into whether you can block senders but it does have a filter you can use. i have a spare gmail invite if you want it. just send me a pm

I've used Yahoo Mail for...going on on 8 years now. They just recently made my mailbox huge (100MB) since gmail has started up. I can block addy's, you can set a personal option to only view your msg's from 10 at a time to 100 at a time, I save all sent msg's, I can attach up to 5 files at a time and up to 10MB total per email, it's free, has a Spamguard that you can specialize as to where it sends your spam, and I've never had problems with it. I highly recommend it

PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread.

Gmail is all the rage. I'd look into that, if you can get an account.

You need an invite though(Which MoonDog has).

I've gotton the gmail invite from another board I frequent (truck board), without even asking for it

It doesn't let you block senders though....hmmm..... I am playing with it and am going to go ahead and set up a yahoo one and see what I think of it too.

Thank you everyone

Hotmail is supposed to be following yahoo's lead and giving us nice big inboxes... one of these days. They've been saying that for over a month, though. *rolls eyes* If you want to wait around for that, of course.

Go with yahoo, I've had it for quite some time...I used to overflow and they would let me go for 120% of the size, since they've enlarged the mailbox size though I don't even hit 20% and I don't delete more times than not...Best of luck...

There is also evildeadclowns.com it can pass through a lot of filters also...just have to deal with the email being addressed to:

"whatever"@evildeadclowns.com :%)
