Yea, my buddy had a few of them, they were cool. Stupid, because they would get their head caught in the fence, and faint when you try and get them out.

I saw one on FHV, but not a clip like this. Yeah....odd creatures! I can't see them surviving in the wild though.

The first time I seen them was on Dirty Jobs. I found it humorous watching Mike Rowe chasing them around and them not fainting. It is an odd trait to breed for, one that wouldn't survive in the wild.

It's a defect in their skeletal muscle. Basically they have difficulty relaxing. As they get older they get better at keeping their balance though.

Yea I too saw them on Dirty Jobs, as to why they were breed with that trait they explained it on the show. They would mix in the fainting goats with the more expensive ones so that if a wolf or something along those lines went after the herd they could have the fainting goat and leave the others along.

Really mean I think, , but thats how we got the term scapegoat. They were the first true scapegoats out there.
