I had heard lots of great things from my workmates who were watching Heroes thanks to a certain web facility.... *aherm*

Anyhoo when it came to free to air... I watched... I tried... but I didn't like it. And I really wanted to like it to?

Any shows you feel that way about?

Not just Heores for me but Ugly Betty too, Desperate Housewives and the NCIS ilk (strangely I like the doco style investigations but not the scripted ones. Find the scripted sort lame, sorry.)

Movies?
So many to list. Usually comedies I don't get.

Trends?
Might be a peer based thing with the trends.

Books?
Really wanted to like Beloved, but didn't. Really wanted to like Bridget Jones Diary, but didn't. Probably other books I abandoned mid way but can't think of them now.

I was told to watch Heros way back when it was finishing it's first season in the states by the guy I call screened for at the radio station. I never got around to it, happened to watch it in Oz and got sucked in. Did you start watching from the beginning?

I also didn't like the first episode I saw of West Wing the episode that takes place entirely on AF1, it was a homework assignment for my screenwriting course. I tried again next week and from then on was in Love.

The one show I will never like no matter how many times I try to watch it is 24. Personally I'd like to punch whats his face for doing a horrible job with that show. And he was so great in Dark City.

Adam watches Survivor which I also don't like, just cant make myself watch it. So fake and stupid. We sort of watched the start of bigbrother 07 and made fun of everyone but that was pretty boring as well.

Jerico, I try and watch it (ie dont' leave the room when adam has it on), but it's just a bit too unbelievable. No one looks hungry. No one is dirty. And I'm trying to figure out how everyone has time to look so put together and the houses sparkle if bombs have gone off and the end of the world has come.

Movies, big one was Gladiators. Only reason I watched the whole thing was to see if Hans Zimmer did the music and if it really was Omid Djalili in it. Also didn't really get into Band of Brothers (tried 4 episodes) or Saving Private Ryan.

Books, I usually like anything I pick up. I read the Phillip Pullman books, the supposed 'next harry potter' didn't even compair .

Pirates of The Car., Pulp Fiction, Lost in Translation...there are more, for sure, but none that come to mind

I either do or don't. I don't rely on public opinion to help me decide if I like something or not...........or trends.

trends.... myspace, and anything that stupid celebs make popular.

yea, what ever happened to people thinking for them selfs on what they like and dislike? oh yea i forgot, its not "cool".
