YAHHHHHHHHHHHHH For Michael Phelps !!!!
He's from the town where I graduated uni, although they'll normally only say baltimore. Oh and I know the guy from Channel 11 (our sister TV station) that's going to cover the games, I'm sooooo jealous of him for getting to go to greece .

Other than paying attention to that (kinda sorta) I don't really watch the olympics much anymore. They were really fun as a kid, now they hardly show anything!

^_^

(It's really me this time)

As Jorge and I were watching last night with his parents, we all agreed that all the uneven bar routines didn't seem as difficult as routines we've seen years ago. It seemed to us that the girls used to fling themselves from the high bar to the low bar and land on their stomachs and in general the routines we saw last night seemed slower. I'm not saying they weren't good, but they just weren't like we remembered.

You think so? I can't really tell b/c I know all their routines by heart so I'm used to seeing those things, I watch all the national/international meets. But the moves have only gotten harder, and some girls, like Mohini, have made up their own signature moves.

they moved the uneven bars farther apart about 12-16 years ago, that's part of why they don't seem as difficult. it was thought that the act of hitting your stomach on the other bar was a little too hard on your body, so they pushed the bars farther apart to prevent it. the routines are still difficult though, don't let it fool you

YAHHHHHHHHHHHHH For Michael Phelps !!!!

Thorpey owned Phelps in teh 200m freestyle!

Well i have been watching the Olympics abit. I must say i have enjoyed the swimming the most so far. But the beach volley ball has been alright.

I hate the equestrian events. Seriously, what are horses doing in the event which celebrates 'humanity'. Sheeesh..

Hey leave the horses alone. I'd like to see you jump those gates

Actually I don't really see why equestrian events are in the Olympics either. Either way you have to admit they're gorgeous, graceful animals.

Michael Phelps picked up two more golds today! He won the 200 Fly and set an olympic record.

The 2nd gold came on the men's 8 X 200m Free relay.

Phelps has 5 medals and counting! 3 Golds, 2 Bronzes.

Isn't he suppose to win like 5 or 7 gold or something like he predicted?

3 doesn't sound like a 7 to me.

I dont think he can any more because of Thropie beating him in the 200.

I got up at 3;30am this morning to watch Argentina and Australia in the soccer thinking it would be an exciting game. Fell asleep after 30 mins. Rather disapointed actually.
