I LOVES matzo ball soup..

husband is jewish, but since he's gluten intolerant I don't have them often, but they're yummy!!

Never had it before, but they sound yummy!

I think I'll try it with a vegemite based broth

Dallas I have to keep a rein on the gluten too so I am hearin' you. They are definitely a comfort food for me - so many memories for me. Just the smell of them cooking, if I close my eyes and inhale I am right back at my Oma's house.

My dad is Jewish and my Mom is Catholic... well one year she decided that she was going to do a sadar for him but instead of having everyone over, it would be just my parents, my brother and I. Well... this meant she had to cook all the food herself. (my brother and I were still really young and my "foster" brother wasn't with us yet.) I am sitting at my desk with a big smile plastered across my face at that story RJ. (btw: my mum is Jewish and dad Catholic mixed marriage like in your family - isn't diversity great?)

As far as festival or family tradition foods for me personally.. I don't really know.. by my favorite and most common dish is NACHOS. . .
