They are definitely a comfort food for me - so many memories for me. Just the smell of them cooking, if I close my eyes and inhale I am right back at my Oma's house. ~~~ My fish blow kisses at me all day long ~~~ |

Well... this meant she had to cook all the food herself. (my brother and I were still really young and my "foster" brother wasn't with us yet.) The only thing I can remember about her reaction to the food was when she called up to my dad's furniture store and yelled into the phone that her "Matzo Balls are floating!!!" *to all who have never made Matzo balls.. it is a REALLY good thing when you can get them to float on the first try* "it's the neck, it creaks under the weight of too much heavy thinking." |
