It's one of my favorite gamer series. ^_^ But it's much agreed that parents should monitor the games, and other media that they play/watch/listen to. My boyfriend works at EB Games and he preordered it for me for a random gift. (I'm not supposed to know, but I saw the reciept in his wallet and his brother slipped ^_^) So I'm excited. ^_^ ~MO~[/font]

But children shouldn't be allowed to play these games and it says it right on the box. So if 9 year olds are playin them then we need to look at the parents, not the company.

I personally like the GTA and the Halo games. Anything shoot em up and I like it. But children shouldn't be allowed to play these games and it says it right on the box. At least you play a good guy, saving the Earth from Satanic Alien Warriors of Hate, Violence and Misunderstanding . I think that some games really do desensitze people. I know a 9yr old who plays GTA for hours a day. He is the most antagonistic person I have ever met. He takes rotten & vicious to a new level. I'm never going to play GTA again. I used to live in Fort Mason (in San Francisco), and I used to pass a highway with damage from the '89 quake every day. I think that an earthquake would be exciting, but not in a good way. And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

The only selling point of that game is violence, mayhem, and 'glorifying' mob-like criminal activities. The youth these days have become largely desensitized.
