	Gecko question...
Balagirl Small Fry Posts: 8 Kudos: 8 Votes: 6 Registered: 03-Apr-2005	Hi. I've seen that some of you have Leopard Geckos. I have one, his name is Jak. He's about 4 1/2 months old. The only problem I'm having with him is that he can never seem to get his skin off of his little feet. It cuts off his circulation and he loses part of his toes. I try to get it off for him, but I'm so afraid I'm going to pull his tiny toes off . How can I safely get the skin off of his feet? Also, he's currently in a 10 gal tank. I'm going to be moving him to a 29 gal tomorrow ~ this isn't gonna stress him out is it?? Much thanks, Julie

Dave. Banned Posts: 823 Kudos: 265 Votes: 11 Registered: 03-Jun-2002	Put him in a container with about 1cm of warm water. It will soften the skin and will be easier for you to remove. Increasing the humidity should prevent it from happening, though. Reptiles should be checked all over after every slough to make sure no skin is remaining.
