Japs, butternuts and Queensland blues are available most of the year (best pic of cross sections I could find): http://www.mrfothergills.com.au/au/vegetables-p3.aspx And BINGO! Just found someone selling the seeds http://www.atlanticseeds.com.au/seeds.html |

Well, party is over and done for another year. Managed to get everything done in time, and bros in law really got into the costume idea. My very personal, custom made lampshade Finished graveyard pudding Gummy corpses were laying in wait under a la And an open casket of oozing coffins: The 100% Vegetarian body mash and steaming swamp dip both came out well, unfortunately my Ecto-plasmic rice krispie treats didn't come out as good as I wanted, didn't stop sis in law from enjoying them to bits! Time for halloween again yet ^_^ |

I usually pay about $1/seed, but those aren't the 600lb+ kind... usually 300-400lb. 3 seeds per hole (I start them about a month early in peat moss, so 3 seeds per pot), usually do 3-4 pots. As soon as the weather's good 'nuff, I transplant 'em to the ground about 15' apart. I've got enough space for 3 easily, but 4 is pushing it. Can only really grow one giant pumpkin per plant (gotta cut the rest out), otherwise you get a bunch of medium sized pumpkins. Btw, I had a fun Halloween... playing WiiSports with my girlfriend |
