My old ipod headphones broke and I need a new pair I thought someone might have a recomendation for something. Its got to be under 50$, available in the USA and be capable of being really really loud. thanks

You SURE you don't want to blow a couple hundred on headphones? Check out some of Shure's earbuds...freaking awesome, freaking expensive

Apple has some shnazzy earbuds out now... they've got 'em at best buy for like $20 I think... I'm gonna get those, methinks.

My last pair of earbuds (some $40 sony ones) were good for a while...until the left ear bud died and the rubber/plastic wrap around the wires came off, and now I'm going to have to get new ones with my warranty...if I can't, I'm getting the apple ones, methinks

Have fun

Loud earbuds drain battery life, and will damage your hearing. You looking for sound quality or just noise?

Indeed they do, Tim...

I'm curious WHY on earth Apple makes iPod's volumes capable of going so high?! It's INSANE!

If you change your mind on price, check out bose.

I have a pair of quiet comfort 2's. Best headphones on the market, excellent sound quality, noise cancelling, and uber cozy.

They're a tinch out of the price range you reccomended though.

Bose are way out of my range right now.
I want loud with good sound quality.
Ipod headphones arent very good and I dont think they contain the sound very well plus I already have blown out the base on the old set I have.
The last set I had was perfect except the design made them a pain to put in but once you had them in they sounded great.
