I've never had a problem receiving fish if they were sent by UPS, FedEx or Airport to Airport.

I've had several problems when I've had fish shipped to me via USPS. In fact, of at least 4-5 times I've only had 1 USPS shipment come in on time.

WOW! Sounds like I have been rather lucky... I have had almost every fish I have ever had shipped to me come through USPS, and never had a single issue. None late, none dead, no non arrivals. Whewwww! The one that came FedEx was just fine too. *shrugs* I don't know what the issue would be, but it is sad to think there are boxes of little clams out there waiting to get to their homes.

I've never had any problems with USPS. I would call your local center and see if you mislabeled the box or something.

I know you should label the box as Perishable, and not live animal.

The later, causes the clerk to freak out (normally not trained very well) then they have to go thru a big to do process for actually shipping live animals.

HTH
